Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your name and email address
• Your role (student, requester, school, or parent)
• For students: grade, date of birth, parent/guardian name and email
• Service hours earned and tasks completed

2. How we use it

We use your information to:

• Run your account and show you relevant tasks or dashboards
• Send transactional emails (booking confirmations, hour approvals)
• Send parents a one-time consent email when their child signs up
• Let school verifiers review and approve student hours

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.

3. Children's privacy (COPPA)

Hourly is designed for students as young as 11. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Students under 13 cannot book tasks until a parent or guardian approves their account via email. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 11.

4. Data storage

Your data is stored securely in Supabase (hosted on AWS). We use row-level security so users can only access their own data. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

5. Your rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
